The 2018 Fleurieu Biennale, June 16 to July 22, 2018 marked the 20th anniversary of the Fleurieu Art Prize. Since its establishment by David Dridan, Greg Trott and Tony Parkinson with the support of major wineries in 1998, the Fleurieu Biennale Art Prize has been awarded nine times. David Dridan is the Patron of the 2018 Fleurieu Biennale. Venues include - Stump Hill Gallery and the Fleurieu Arthouse, McLaren Vale and Signal Point Gallery, Goolwa. The Fleurieu Biennale Satellite Exhibition 2018 was held at Dog Ridge Winey, McLaren Flat SA.

Travelling to France as a recipient of the Thomas Laird Memorial Traveling Art Study Award, Lesley visited the regions of the French Impressionists and Modernists such as Cezanne, Van Gogh, Monet, and the Fauves.
