ADULTS CLASS

BEGINNERS
Wed 9-12 noon

Due to popular demand - Learn basic acrylic techniques and mediums. Paint from all genres. Focus on composition, colour & art appreciation. Palette knife. texture paste, glazing are just a few examples to give you a broad experience to help you start acrylics and understand this versatile medium.

BEGINNERS & EXPERIENCED 
Wed 1-4pm

Learn more about acrylic techniques. while having the choice to paint free choice works. Paint from all genres. Discuss composition, colour & art appreciation as well as developing your own style and keep informed of latest exhibitions. Try traditional techniques eg. stretching a canvas to expand your knowledge of traditional techniques.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Lesley has over 30 years experience as an artist and educator of Art & Design. Join Lesley in a relaxing pursuit, meeting friends with similar interests and keeping your mind active by learning new skills.

FEES

$310 per 8 weeks, $270 per 7 week term
(Deposit $60 in advance + balance $250 on or before 1st lesson). Part terms available.

MATERIALS

Students will need to bring:-

  • Acrylic paints – student or Artists quality in tubes.

    Suggested basic colours: Cadmium yellow light (cool yellow), Cadmium yellow mid (warm yellow), orange, cadmium red (warm red), alizarin crimson (cool red), dioxadine purple, ultramarine blue (warm blue), pthalo blue (cool blue), hookers green, titanium white

  • Substrates - A3 canvas pad, or stretched canvas or boards if preferred.

  • Brushes - Asst sizes Round and Flat synthetic bristle brushes. Sizes 2, 4, 6, a large flat brush, a small round synthetic watercolour brush size 2 or 4

  • Small palette knife

  • HB pencil, ruler, eraser

  • Masking tape 1 - 2cm wide

  • Palette - a white china plate or disposable sheets with a plastic container with lid to take wet paint home.

  • Paper towel, kitchen sponge, rag

  • optional - art shirt/apron, texture paste, glazing medium, other colours of your choice.

Further materials may be required throughout the course.
